Packaged lunch meats can be stored in the refrigerator for two weeks before opening. After opening a package of lunch meats or buying sliced lunch meats at a deli, you can refrigerate them for three to five days. Keep your refrigerator at 40 °F or less). Refrigerate in the meat drawer on the lowest shelf of the refrigerator whether its prepackaged or in an airtight container.

Can be eaten after the "sell by date". Smell and look at the meat to determine if it's edible.

These meats can also be frozen for one to two months for best quality. Frozen foods are safe indefinitely (kept at 0 °F). Freeze in original packaging or wrap in plastic wrap or freezer paper. Thaw in the refrigerator.
