Air Fryer Kale Chips

Ingredients: 

  • 6oz kale

  • 1 1/2 tbsp. oil

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350* F

  2. Take kale leaves off the stems and chop them into small pieces. 

  3. Place in a large bowl.

  4. Add olive oil, salt, and paprika. 

  5. Toss until well coated.

  6. Add a layer of kale leaves to the air fryer basket. 

  7. Cook for 3 minutes. 

  8. Shake the basket and pour kale onto a cutting board or baking sheet to cool and crisp up. 

  9. Repeat with remaining kale, working in batches to prevent it from steaming and getting soggy.


Why Kale:

Kale is a popular green grown in Ohio. According to Ohio State University, Kale is an excellent source of vitamins A, C, E, K, and lutein (a phytonutrient that may reduce the risk of age-related eye disease). Kale contains phytonutrients that may help prevent cancer and heart disease.
